The Communications Director is an integral volunteer role at the Church of Lumanai. This individual benefits from guidance, collaboration, and hands-on experience with senior communications staff, working alongside a team of dedicated volunteers and other key groups within our spiritual community.

The Communications Director leads a team of volunteers to enhance the church's visibility, reputation, and outreach. They are responsible for crafting compelling messages that resonate with our community and beyond, ensuring that the Church of Lumanai is a beacon of light and knowledge for all who seek it. As Communications Director, you will demonstrate your leadership skills while undertaking a variety of communication and public relations tasks. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our mission and activities are conveyed effectively and accurately to our community and the wider world.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee the church's communication channels, including digital, print, and social media platforms.
• Develop strategic communication plans and oversee their successful implementation.
• Foster a culture of transparency and openness within the church community.
• Lead meetings with the communications team, providing clear objectives and expectations.
• Articulate a captivating vision for the church's communications efforts.
• Train, mentor, and support volunteers to ensure they meet their potential and deliver their best work.
• Initiate volunteer conversations and actively recruit new volunteers to expand our team.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure all communication-related responsibilities are met.
• Ensure that all communications adhere to the church's mission, vision, and values.

Skills Needed to Succeed:
